Is R.M.E. PLUS a continuation of R.M.E.?
RME Plus is its own course and does not continue from where R.M.E. left off. Instead, this is a new course that teaches you key phrases and expressions from modern conversational Russian. Mark T. remains as lead instructor, and continues with use of hyper-effective language techniques.
How is RME PLUS different from the RME Podcast?
RME is just a podcast. The audio exercises are pulled from the episode itself. The PDF is merely a transcript.
RME PLUS is a course in audio format. In addition to the main lesson audios, it includes Immersion Audios, Fluency Drill Audios, a Lesson Guide, Media Center access, and your questions answered via e-mail.
Who is it for primarily?
We receive many e-mails from those who want to continue after Russian Made Easy, but due to lifestyle or work circumstances aren't able to access video. RME PLUS was designed with those in mind, who are limited to an audio based learning situation.
How do I access the course material?
Every month (up to 6 months), four new lessons are unlocked in a password protected members area accessable via web browser. Audios can be listened to with the built in audio player or RSS feed via app on your mobile device.
How do Russian Accelerator and RME PLUS compare?
Russian Accelerator is a huge, comprehensive course comprised of audio and video, designed so you become an intermediate level speaker of conversational Russian. Accelerator tackles the Big Problems that learners of Russian face, including Verbs of Motion; prefixed Verbs of Motion; Perfective and Imperfective verb aspects; all tenses; numbers; counting; days; weeks; months; time of day; and so on. If your goal is to become fully conversational, Russian Accelerator is the appropriate choice.
Russian Made Easy Plus leverages the power of an audio-based course to teach you key phrases and expressions from modern conversational Russian. The focus is on idiomatic speech, all of which is pulled from modern Russian TV shows. All of the material is extremely common things you'll find yourself saying a dozen times per day. But because RME PLUS does not touch on any of the Big Problems (Verbs of Motion, numbers, etc) it will not turn a beginner into a conversational speaker. Still, the course will add great depth and expression to whatever Russian you already know.
Can I do Accelerator and RME PLUS Side-by-side?
Yes, as over 90% of the material taught in RME PLUS is unique when compared to R.A. That being said, By Unit 10 of Accelerator, the fundamentals, all six grammatical cases will be rock solid. From there, you can alternate between Accelerator units and RME PLUS lessons.
